Samantha Topping

Samantha Topping is Founder and President of Topping Media. She has worked for the world’s leading companies in financial services and media: Reuters, CNBC and Bloomberg.

While at Reuters she held several high-level marketing and communications positions including Vice President of Brand Marketing and was responsible for extending the Reuters brand into new markets. As Head of Media Relations for the Americas, Samantha spearheaded a proactive media relations campaign which resulted in a variety of top tier media coverage in the New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, USA Today and CNBC. In her role as Global Head of Media Relations for the company’s research and asset management division, Samantha created a media attribution program to promote Reuters proprietary financial data. This program helped Reuters Estimates become the benchmark for the mainstream media with 52% market share.

Previously, she was the Associate Producer for CNBC’s Power Lunch. Prior to joining CNBC, Topping lived in London and work for Bloomberg LP. She was responsible for the launches of Bloomberg Television in Italy and Spain. She also served as the special projects producer for Michael Bloomberg. Before moving to London, Topping was a Senior Producer for Bloomberg Business News, Bloomberg’s flagship financial news program.

Samantha is passionate about philanthropy and sits on the Board of the Women’s Committee of the Central Park Conservancy. She has recently been named a co-chair of the Tree Trust, which helps secure endowments for Central Park’s 26,000 trees. She also sits on the board of advisors for Creative Visions Foundation. CVF supports creative artists who use the media, arts and technology to create awareness of critical issues and catalyze positive change in local and global communities.
